James Martin is Britain's number-one pastry chef and the easygoing host of TV's Saturday Kitchen. If anyone can revitalise the stagnant home-baking market, it's him. So he's teamed up with his fellow Yorkshire chefs at Symington's to create a range of irresistibly sticky desserts.

The James Martin range offers the type of puddings you'd serve to dinner-party guests – if only you had the strength of will to resist eating them yourself. The key is in the packaging. We've developed a strong, product-as-hero look supported by bold but reassuring cooking tips. This is packaging that will inspire a new generation to start baking. It shouts: great results for very little effort.

Future work includes a nationwide PR launch and ranges of breads, cakes, and biscuits.
