Flying the flag in the noodle wars

When you go into battle, it pays to be on the right side. In the boil-and-stir noodle wars, we're flying the flag for Nation's Noodle, Golden Wonder's triumphal return to the snack-in-a-pot noodle market.

The patriotic Union Jack theme reflects the idea that Nation's Noodle is the nation's favourite – the noodle that young lads reach for first when the footie's over. In this case, the client handed us an initial design concept and a bundle of market research and we turned it into a live brand with instant shelf appeal.

The numbers prove us right. Eager customers gobbled up 2.1m pots in the first three weeks of trading.

Our involvement in the campaign is broad-ranging: a branded London bus, elements of the website, www.thenationsbest.co.uk, and a spectacular noodle-pot airdrop over Portsmouth. Like we said, this is war not marketing.
